The moment you haven’t been waiting for is finally here!! Me and Nikki are headed to Japan (again) and South Korea (1st time). Back in 2016 I was blogging my first trip to Japan daily, and I stuck with it. Then in 2017 I got to like day 4 and never typed another word… I’ve been to Japan 5 times since then and I’m realizing that my memory ain’t what it used to be and a lot of my experiences and time spent gets lost into the ether of my anxiety ridden brain so… here’s my attempt at fighting back.

This is the pre post for the first series of posts in what I hope will be kind of a hybrid travel/art blog. Will I be consistent at it? I hope. I paid for my domain so maybe that will motivate me. Can’t believe someone forgot to renew Buckwhite.com hahaha thanks loser it’s mine now.

As I was saying, this is the pre post to our Japan trip. We’re headed out for Sakura (cherry blossom) season in what is arguably the worst time to visit Japan (besides summer). I say that because it’s like the super high tourist season so everything is crowded and more expensive. But as my Japanese homies would say, “しょうがない” (shouganai) which basically means, it is what it is.

We have some minor things planned. For the most part we’re just gonna wing it though and just vibe. As for South Korea we will be going to Seoul for 3 days just a few days after landing in Tokyo, and then fly right back to Tokyo and hang there for a couple more weeks. Nicole’s coworker and Korean homie Yun is gonna show us around while we out there. Shout out to you Yun. We love you playboi!

My Japanese is good enough to get by so over the last week I’ve been working on basic Korean phrases. We will see how that goes when I get there…
